Accessibility Commitment

Birchway Niagara is committed to providing an accessible environment for all clients, staff, volunteers, and members of the public we serve. We are committed to meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its associated regulations, including the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR).

Our Commitment

Birchway Niagara strives to:

  • Identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility for people with disabilities
  • Provide goods, services, and facilities in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities
  • Train staff, volunteers, and contractors on accessible customer service and their responsibilities under the AODA
  • Provide accessible formats and communication supports upon request, in a timely manner and at no additional cost

We will acknowledge feedback within five (5) business days and provide accessible formats for feedback processes upon request.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Birchway Niagara's Multi-Year Accessibility Plan outlines our strategy to prevent and remove barriers to accessibility and meet the requirements of the AODA. This plan is reviewed and updated at least once every five years, with annual status updates.
