“Sometimes when I talk to a woman on the support line, I can almost hear some of the tension release from her body right through the phone line. Often survivors have been told for so long that they are crazy and worthless. Their world completely changes when someone not only listens to and believes their experiences, but validates their feelings and helps them to figure out their next steps. Leaving an abusive partner is complicated and can be very dangerous. Thank you for making it possible for us to be here whenever a survivor makes the courageous decision to reach out.”
