Community Partners Making a Difference
Creating a community where women and their children live free from abuse and violence involves a community effort. Birchway Niagara is very lucky to have so many people and organizations working alongside us to raise awareness and resources to end the violence.
We wish we could introduce you to every single person who is speaking out and stepping up to end the cycle of family violence. While this is impossible, we’d like to share the stories of some members of our community who are making a difference.
Charitable Gaming Makes a Difference!
Every year, charitable gaming in Ontario helps to provide critical funds and resources to thousands of charitable organizations, not-for-profit groups and service clubs.
Birchway Niagara is pleased to be one of the recipients of these funds as part of our partnership with the Delta Monte Carlo Gaming Sponsor Association in Niagara Falls and the Delta-Uncle Sam’s Charitable Gaming Association in Fort Erie. When our incredibly dedicated bingo volunteers donate hundreds of hours at Delta’s gaming centres, or when you spend some time playing bingo or e-gaming, you are also supporting life-changing services like domestic violence shelters.
Each year, tens of thousands of dollars raised in our community help to provide groceries and counselling services to support survivors of violence.
