What is abuse?
Abuse is the attempt to gain power in a relationship by trying to control how the other person thinks, acts or feels. Abuse doesn’t have to be physical to hurt.
Does your partner…
~ keep you away from friends and family?
~ control all of the money?
~ accuse you of cheating?
~ act jealous?
~ put you down or call you names?
~ force you to have sex?
~ have sudden violent outbursts?
~ threaten you or your children with violence?
~ hit you or hurt you in any way?
