I was no longer the strong, confident, independent woman I had been. I had become a mouse… asking for permission for everything. I became someone I didn’t recognize.
I suffered in a world of emotional, physical, financial and sexual abuse. I knew I needed help, but thought I had nowhere to go and no one to turn to.”
